Slice Background System? Well I l've left Phosotohop for some time so I don't
exactly remember something as that...
anyway using the steps I mentioned (save as webpage), you don't have to crop.
Heck, you don't even have to make the slices if you used the pre-made template.
Its as simple as create your layout and save as webpage and it will do the
slicing for you.
after clicking Save as Web, just follow step 6 and 7. sorry I didnt provide any
image since I have a problem getting a screenshot last time I made it. If I have
some time, I'll make a screenshot for explaination.

template all you have to do put the image on the template and follow the saving
part and you're done.

the slices are there. the 3px slices are probably just to small for you to see.
Try zoom in and check it yourself.

behind. quite a few links to choose from. Sendspace, Rapidshare, etc. Just

not that it doesnt work properly on every page, that is how it SUPPOSE to work.
MT's layout customization is no perftect. slice 7 (right most content slice)
only repeats itself on the right most box part. it doesnt start on the content
box. and I see you didnt make any repeating images for slice 6. (left most,
bottom)

it looks shorter because that is the lowest part of tha page. See it stops after
the "0.0452sec. (43% PHP, 57% SQL) 9 queries"?. Since it already
reaches the lowest page of the page, the slice stops showing.
In conclusion, there is nothing wrong with your layout. That is how it suppose
to work. My suggestion, you need to think more carefully in your design. There
is a limit to what kind of design one can make in MT. You must build around
those limits to make a nice layout. If you don't, well, it becomes as it is now.
And another thing, MT's layout was not designed with a transparent box. So if
you still want to use them, you will have to work a lot more to make them look
nice.

well I neber encounter it before, but you can however just conver it to JPG after it saves to PNG. a little more troublesome but a working workaround.

CorelDraw eh... I never used CorelDraw so I can't say.. but one thing I know for sure is the .psd cannot be opened in CorelDraw.
For the file, try the other Mirror. I updated with a few more mirrors.
Btw, I think you can use CorelDraw. However all the slices (sizes for each image), you have to do it yourself.
your background HAS been updated. just remember to clear your cache before refreshing (Ctrl + F5)

Paste that on your userpage contents. However this only works on YOUR userpage. It will not work elsewhere.

check back step 6. when saving it for web, select all slice (Ctrl+A) and set the preset under the save button to Jpeg Medium.
you missing this step means you didnt follow the tutorial properly. check the tutorial back, every last one of them if you have any problem.
